|

I'm using Windows 7 64bit and I'm having a problem with Windows not finding/recognizing a program in the environment paths.
I have a program named check.exe, it's a console app and I've put it in sysWOW64 to start with, that didn't work, so put it in system32, that didn't work, put it in Windows, that didn't work, so put it right on the root of C: and that didn't work, none of them work unless I change directory to each specific location. I even rebooted after each location.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening and how to resolve it?
Thanks in advance,

I know this isn't helpful, just tried with ws.exe (non-console) worked from windows directory and system32.
Are you having the same trouble with windowed apps or just console?

Glad you replied to this post. It wasn't a VDS issue of course, it was a Windows issue. There were absolutely no environmental paths set at all. Once I put them in all was well. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |
