Neat little app BornSoft.
HTML works great but I get "Runtime error 11 at line 282" when I select extText.

Tried extText again with a different DSC file and it didn't error but seems to be stuck in a loop.
EDIT: Ok tried again with a small dsc file (100 lines) and extText worked.
I am guessing there must be a size limit for extText.

Hi Aslan,
thanks for testing. In line 282 the number recognition routine is called, in which I use a private function to extract numbers from a string. Maybe there goes something wrong.
BUT: The programm works in two steps and the first step where all elements to highlight are marked is the same for HTML and ExtText. So if the same *dsc file works for HTML and not for ExtText it must be something else.
If possible could you please narrow the problematic code to a smaller size and PM it to me? This woud help a lot.
Thanks.
bornSoft
EDIT: File updated. I had to limit the ExtText output preview to 20kB. It seems that the ExtText element buffers its content and reads it in chunks. This makes the application window hang. The output in the editor is not cutted.

BornSoft, there is a PM on this waiting for you with an attached script that is having issues with ExtText but works great with HTML.
Hope it helps. I really like the app

Fine. I'm glad you like it.
BTW: When I started this I planned to implement BBCode output as well. Then I tested a little here in the forum, but it's not possible to chanche the font face with BBCode here at VDSWorld so it does not make much sense.
If one of the admins of this forum could enable a BBCode tag for a fixed width font and not trimmed front spaces like the <pre> tag in html, I easy could make the VDSHighlighter produce the VDS highlighted code for this forum.
Here an example in the standard font:
%i = 2
repeat
%i = @pred(%i)
until @equal(%i,0)
Cheers
