Let's not take my post out of context here people.. I'm talking about
ego maniacs who didn't care what anyone else already did for a user
here, even if the solution already given was the best possible solution.
They were merely seeking to be glory hounds.

I did not say that only one solution was viable.

You didn't offend me, I just did not want anyone to take my post out of
context here. I noticed that the replies were starting to get a little testy.

Like the comment about "power to abuse". That was pretty ignorant and
this person may have misunderstood my post, or refused to see the truth
in my post, or they just didn't like my post and felt this was a good way to
to show their resentment towards me or my post.

In any case, I made my point on this subject of less posts on the forum
these days. Anyone can take it or leave it, but anyone who's been here
a long time knows exactly what I'm talking about.

Even if someone is being an 'ego maniac' as long as they bother to spend the time to post code which is valid is what really is important. If they are offering a solution to a user this is all (in my opinion) that really should matter not if the person helping has an ego problem or likes to take the 'spotlight' off others work. Most that have ever asked for help probably would agree, they are just looking for an answer to their problem and do not care for the politics behind it.
