"ahhh... I see!" said the blind man talking to the deaf man listening to the mute.
You mean s.a.r.l. is like Co., Inc., L. P., Ltd., etc. that is placed after the company name here in the U. S.? _________________ Sylvester

things I am certified translator so this is certainly within my spheres.
S.A.R.L. is short for "Societé ŕ Responsabilité Limité". In English this is a
limited liability company which is type of company mainly used by one or
a few persons who want to operate as a company mainly in order to limit
the personal exposure to the risks of their business. So this basically means
that if you code is nice little VDS utility that due to some undisclosed bug
totally devastates your 2000 computer company network then you might
try to sue SADE but you cannot take action against the owners.
OK, that's the end of the 'Word of the Day'.

Well, this "interpretation" is basically correct in the terms...
S.A.R.L. means near like "Limited".
S.A.D.E. sarl is a little company indeed.
However I think that you are as far from legal reality than earth from saturn:
Try to sue a big company and you'll see, note also that legal protection is the same for all editors.
At last but not least S.A.D.E. is a proud member of IDDN / APP which is an international entity to preserve S.A.D.E.'s customers by keeping the source work of S.A.D.E. sarl.
I think that translation can't be all, like in the US, law is almost court decision, and the fact is that sarl are more easy to sue than big companies which have lawyers armies ! |

Well, well, well. Actually the only point I was trying to make there was to
comment a bit on the general implications of the term "Societé ŕ Responsabilité
Limité" which is a legal entity with limited liability of the owners as opposed
to firms with personal liability.
I was in no way trying to make a point about the responsibility (general
meaning here) of SADE. The explanation was on the term SARL, not on SADE.
The comment about a possible lawsuit was actually meant as a joke,
as you might have guessed from the smiley!
Keep on trucking
