No matter what i have tried the:

DIALOG ADD,STYLE,STYLE1,,,,,WHITE,DKBLUE
Dialog add,check,check1,10,10,100,20,Test,,,style1

The check dialog element will now show the style...

I found this bug in VDS 4, and it was concluded that it was not a bug in
VDS itself, rather in the XP common controls library. However there are
workarounds, or you could compile without a manifest file. Smile
