hello all

I have a web server that runs a cgi script this script lets people upload file, and d/l files. What i was wondering is can i have vds display this page in a window WITHOUT having to uses I.E

i hope you follow what i mean

P.S i did a search about this and the only thing i found was info on HOW to make vds exe run like a cgi script on the server side...unless i miss a post i didn't see anything about this Sad

The only way to do this is with the VDSElm, VDSSurfX or VDSBrw50(VDS5) DLL..all actually use IE's core.
I think you mean you don't actually want the IE program to open up..which it wouldn't with those DLL's.

It think the vdselm dll is replaced with the browser50.dll file which comes with VDS 5. About your original question: you might try to combine the vdsipp or vdsinet dll with Tommy's vdshtml dll which doesn't use Internet Explorer. I don't know what you are trying to do exactly, but it might be worth the try... Smile

yea i was thinking of that but the problem is i'am not dealing with html its a cgi that lets users upload files so i don't know if that idea you are talking about would let it pass varibles to the cgi...hummm it might ...hummm

that VDSSurfX a very nice dll but i don't have the funds to get it now Sad
