Hi !
Well it depends, if your using DIALOG ADD, BITMAP.... you can do it with DIALOG ADD,TEXT... and use the style TRANSPARENT.
VDS 4.x and VDS 3.x
Here's a small example for VDS 4.x and VDS 3.x :
| Code: | DIALOG CREATE,Myapp,-1,0,300,300
DIALOG ADD,BITMAP,BITMAP1,2,2,100,100,your bitmap
DIALOG ADD,TEXT,TEXT1,5,5,65,16,,This text is transparaent,TRANSPARENT |
Hope this helps...

Humm I m not sure it can be done. You mean like a bit of image processing right? Or a snap shot/capture of the text with the image combined. If so maybe you could use the VDSCAP.DLL that's included with the package VDSDLL3 at http://www.vdsworld.com/index.php?page=download&fileid=60 which is by the way a GREAT package.
And as for MMB (I'm a user too ) which plugin does that so I can understand more what you mean.

| the VDSIMAGE module of VDSDLL3 can place text in an image directly and save the result.... just like you want Newbie2k2. But you must register the dll to be able to compile your exes. But its worth the money, there are tons of features in vdsdll that you may need sooner or later (personally I use lots of them) |

This is from the dll help file
| Quote: |
DLL IMAGE, TEXT, <top>, <left>, <text>{, <font name>, <font size>, <font attributes>, <font color>}
Inserts the text <text> at top position <top> and left position <left>. If no font is specified a default font will be used: Microsoft Sans Serif with a size 8 pixels with normal attributes and a black color. <font color> can be a VDS 3 compatible color value.
