|
|
I have a combo element on a dialog that I would like to be able to show more characters on.
That is,
I don't want to rearrange the dialog as it has a lot of stuff on it.
I want the dropdown part of the combo to show longer items than I originally designed it for. (Like about 50 characters instead of about 30.)
Is there a way to either:
1.) Make the dropdown part wider? In an earlier thread, I tried to figure a way to add a horizontal scroll bar.
2.) Add a "tooltip" that shows the full selected row like in the tablecontrol DSU.
Any help is appreciated. _________________ Joe Floyd |

Hello Joe,
You can use the windows API to set the dropped width of a combobox to be wider than the control itself:
| Code: |
%%width = 400
%A = @sendmsg(@win(~COMBO1),352,%%width,0)
|
The %%width variable is the width in pixels that the dropped down portion of the combo box should be. Here I set it to 400 pixels wide.
You will also need to change COMBO1 to the name of the combobox control. Make sure to INCLUDE the ~ character as it tells vds to use the internal controls windows handle. |

Perfect!
Thanks a lot - that really helps me. This is a great board - great little language, too. _________________ Joe Floyd |
