I'm dealing with a user problem (not a VDS app) of a program that gives an error when run on a system with more than 512MB RAM. This error is presumably in the memory management libraries of the tool used to develop the application, which I don't know because the developer is now untraceable.
It might have been developed using a version of Delphi, which led me to wonder whether VDS will run OK on systems with more than 512MB of RAM. My computer only has 256MB, so I can't tell. Does anyone know? _________________ The Tech Pro

Nope, actually it was XP. There is a command line option you can add in boot.ini to make it load with less Ram, which lets him run the affected program. Fortunately, he doesn't use it very often. Apparently, the memory manager in some old programs causes an overflow if there is more than 512MB of memory available. I don't know what development tool was used to create this program, though. _________________ The Tech Pro
