I have a DOS program that I would like to control using VDS. Rather than just returning a value from a DOS command line I would like to read and write values to and from this program while it is running.

Is this possible and if so what command should I be looking at to achieve my goal.

Thanks in advance.

I have in the past automated an interactive DOS program by sending keystrokes to it just as I would running it myself, but I don't think you can get the screen output while it is running.
