|
|
I am trying to send an email with an attachment using the vdstcp50.dll. I can send any type of attachment except a .ZIP file.
If I rename the .zip file something else(.TXT, .BMP, even with no extension), it goes through fine. If it has a .ZIP extension, it acts like it is sent (no errors) but it never shows up. Has anyone else had this problem? I guess it could be a problem at my SMTP server, but I don't have a way to test it or find that out. _________________ Joe Floyd |

Most likely the server that handles the emails for the person on the other
end is deleting attachments such as zip, bat, com, exe and vbs for
security purposes to aid in eliminating virii, trojans etc...
This is quite common these days.

Good thought, but I was sending it to my own email address, and I receive .zip files all the time. Plus, I looked in the "spam" folder to see if it was moved there, but it wasn't. It just seemed to go into thin air.
I'm thinking it must be a problem with the outgoing mail server I am using. _________________ Joe Floyd |
