Is there anyway that someone with contacts to CR can get permission to post a complete list of the new features that VDS 6.0 will have.

I know Jules has posted some of the compiling features but I was wondering what new functions, commands, list options, elements (updated or new), and Vista compatability it will have.

Thanks in advance,
Aslan

That would be great, but short of that, how about a new holiday to get excited about? (The VDS Christmas gift didn't exactly materialize.)

Maybe St. Patrick's Day? Easter? Earth Day?

The What's New in VDS 6 page of the help file is quite long, though in my opinion it's more of an evolutionary release than a revolutionary release. However I don't see any point in publishing the list, because it's clear that VDS 6 will only be here when it's here, and when that happens it will probably be on dialogscript.com anyway.

VDS 6 does have a lightweight, integrated XML parsing capability, which I have used to create some simple database applications.

Um, I'm not sure. I seem to recall I did change the timer formatting, since the existing method seemed bizarre, but whether it was the same as you suggested and whether it has now been broken for somebody else you'll have to wait and see.

Maybe someone could post the "What's New" section of the helpfile?

Sorry if I'm seeming like a pest but it would nice if we could feel the excitement again.

Bring on the Hype!!!

Nobody other than CR could do that without getting into trouble.

IMHO, I wish CR would get at least a little hype going about VDS 6. It's always good to get people excited and wanting a new product before it's released... that way they're bragging to their friends, posting around on the internet, all eagerly waiting the release, and it's a good way to make a lot of money fast, rather than letting the spirit die down and only have a few people checking for new info every few weeks.

Yeah, well, I'm going to keep quiet on that issue, except to say I entirely agree with you.
