AVG (Virus Def 271.1.1/3156) is currently reporting a false positive with VDS 6 intergrated exe.
As a temp fix recompile as a VDS 6 standard executable make sure vdsrun60.dll is in the same folder or in a search path (eg C:\Windows\System32\vdsrun60.dl)
I've had a bunch of users on my network reporting this with various little programs I've written, VDS 5 projects don't seem to be a problem.
Sent one of the false positive VDS files to AVG for analysis.

This seems to be a general problem, even my vds6 setup file "vds_std.exe" is reported by Avira AntiVir Personal as infected with "DR/Delphi.Gen" dropper.
The heuristics recognizes if an executable is written from a resource to disk and rates this behaviour as potential dangerous.
Not very sophisticated but true.

Every so often the AV companies change things up again and VDS executables start showing up as potential threats yet again. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |
