You will have to use an external console program. You can find a few freeware converters online. I am not sure you can directly convert to PDF via VDS. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |

| Silent conversion or with file dialog? I'm thinking shell print with a pdf printer installed, but that would require a pdf print driver (I think they all have a file dialog) |

If possible without any dialog (silent), to convert a document to pdf for example command/external program with 2 parameters:
1. input file name to convert
2. output Pdf file name |

Hi Tdk161,
I suggest to take a look at Bulzip (http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php).
Haven't used it myself, but it seems it answers your needs: command line interface and the ability to run it silent.

I use PDFTK which does all you ask. For instance in one of my packages I have the following code which does exactly what it says on the tin. The help is a bit sparse, so you'll have to experiment to get it right.
| Code: | RUNZ %%Drive1\Macros\PDFTK.EXE %%TempDrive\%%Scheme%%Product.pdf %%TempDrive\%%Scheme"LegalEx.pdf" cat output %%TempDrive\%%Scheme%%Product"XXXX".PDF,WAIT
RUNZ %%Drive1\Macros\PDFTK.EXE %%TempDrive\%%Scheme%%Product"XXXX".pdf fill_form %%TempDrive\%%Scheme%%Product.XFDF output %%TempDrive\%%Scheme%%Product%%QuoteNo.PDF flatten owner_pw %%Key allow printing dont_ask,WAIT |
