Is there an easier way of doing this? Is there a tool that can be used with VDS?

Many thanks in advance

Found a DOS EXE called csv2xml which works fine from a CMD window, but I can't get it to work using the VDS RUN command:-

RUN csv2xml -m=1 < OUT6.csv > OUT6.xml

Any pointers?

Cheers

I've had those types of troubles Wink

Sometimes directory change,@path(%0) gets it

But sometimes I have to use

Shell Open, command, parameter (look at the help)

I've never had anything that wouldn't work with enough fiddling.

... or you could use your string.dll. Make an XML template with placeholders and put that in a variable, loop through your file, extract CSV cells and inject them into your template by S&R.

Hi Aslan

Code:
RUN cmd /c <path>\csv2xml -m=1 < OUT6.csv > OUT6.xml

worked very well! Sorry to not say so before, but I had been out of touch.

Cheers
