Ok, I am using Windows XP here at work and do not have admin rights. When I go to use the Dialog Designer. I get 2 errors.

1. A warning box that has VDS Web Browser Extension in the title and says "This extension requires Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later". - I have IE version 6.x

2. After I press OK for that. I get: Error 28 at line 2214.

Anyone else have this prob? Know how to fix it?

I'm guessing that is has to do with rights and the DD needs to access something that I don't have access to. I have XP at home and it works fine.

Thank much!!

Maybe it doesn't have full rights to the registry? If the DD gets the Internet Explorer version from there, that could explain it... Rolling Eyes

Interesting. The VDS Browser element was developed using the EmbeddedWB component for Delphi by Per Lindsų Larsen.

The message you saw appears if the function IE5_Installed returns False.

The function opens HLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer, looks for a string value named Version and returns True if the first character of this string is greater than "4".

It was a permissions prob. I had an Admin set read permission for the Intermet Explorer key and now it works fine. Thanks for the help.
