The DLL should be backwards compatible. A default channel always exists, it is
selected by default. The 1401 error means that the libmySQL DLL could not be loaded.
It is still required, but it is loaded dynamically, on any attempt to use any of the commands
or functions of the DLL. Are you sure the (new) libmySQL.dll file is placed in the script's
directory? |

VDSLIST V 1.4:
added compatibility with VDS 5;
reduced buffer size from 64 kB to 2 kB;
allowed for unlimited function result length;
significantly reduced filesize of vdslist.dll;
recoded clipboard features;
fixed a bug in the DLL LST, ASSIGN command;
fixed a bug in @DLL(LST, ITEM) function causing optional parameter not to work;
fixed @DLL(LST, MATCH) to search from the current index position rather than the top of the list;
fixed @DLL(LST, MATCH) so that it is case insensitive, unless specifying exact;
added @DLL(LST, LOCATE).

Really all that could make the error 1401 happen is a problem with loading libmySQL.dll.
That library is loaded in a similar way as the "external" command loads a VDS DLL.
You might want to search your system for other versions of libmySQL.dll (Windows,
Windows system directories), but I'm not sure if that could help. Also your libmySQL.dll
file you downloaded just might be corrupted. You might want to try to redownload
the file or use the file included with your MySQL installation. Also it's worth a try
putting the file in the Windows system directory instead of the script's directory.
Also sometimes it helps to put "directory change,@path(%0)" on the line before the
external command, however in the example script this was already done.
I really hope it will work now.

Works a charm. Tested with a 140,000 line file. All bugs seem to have been fixed - and so far everything works
fine, and fast..
What does LOCATE do? Syntax?

Here is a version of the default vdsdll.dll file that is compatible with VDS 5:
http://www.vdsworld.com/vdsdll/upload/vdsdll92.zip
Please realize that this is still version 3.18 of the DLL, it doesn't include the updated parts
being posted here for version 3.20 of the DLL. |

Are theses updates still taking place? Also is the vdsdll27.dll still
going to be updated? _________________ FreezingFire

The conversion is still taking place. Here's one more that was updated:
VDSTIME V 1.4:
added compatibility with VDS 5;
reduced buffer size from 64 kB to 2 kB;
allowed for unlimited function result length;
fixed a problem related to VDSTIME part and its example script.
http://www.vdsworld.com/vdsdll/vds5/
I'm not certain yet whether vdsdll27.dll will be updated, but it will be considered. At
the very least, it's unprobable that the DLLs in vdspack.zip will still be updated. |

Another update to VDSTIME:
VDSTIME V 1.5:
added @DLL(DTIME, MILLISECONDS, <datetime value>) function. |
