That's strange!
I've never seen that message and it seems that Skit could also run the program without error messages.
When did this message appear?
I may have some time this evening to look into it.

Message appears when launching the EXE, nothing ever shows up (except that silly Win error box, of course)...
Is the EXE compressed or anything??

That is my initial idea too.
SilentBase was built with VDS 5.02.

I think that's the message you get if you have Data Execution Prevention enabled in SP2 and something tries writing to a code section of memory. _________________ The Tech Pro

Bingo. Jules was right - I had DPE set on the high level. Now the program runs OK.... Memory now can "written"
But what a weird error message - gotta remember that.

Skit, I totally love that dsu. It's just what I need.
Are there anyway to add features that allows me to sort the contents of the database file by a specific collumn?
Also, I've added a few things to a database program I'm working on, and now I see I forgot to add a collumn header. Is there anyway to add that into an existing database without loosing the existing entries?
Just remembered, my database file is compressed. _________________

GeoTrail, you can just load the database with "database load" and than save it with "database save" without the "compress" parameter... After that, just open the file with Notepad and add the column you want (although you have to add it at the end of the file).

I tried to do this, but it requires a lot of time because at first the column you want to sort on should be put in from of all other columns, after which the actual sorting is done with "list sort". Then, the columns should be put back in place. If you drop me a PM about this so I can't forget to do this, I think I'll be able to work on it tomorrow... _________________ [ Add autocomplete functionality to your VDS IDE windows! ]

I didn't think of that, thanks for the tip
Sure I can PM you, but you don't have to do it if it's alot of work. It's not a big nessaty, but would be kinda nice to have.
Anyways, I'll send you a PM tomorrow, if I remember too hehehe.
But don't rush it, I can imagine that must be alot of work to get done. _________________
