I wish you guys would give the user an option before you force us all to try to type around falling objects on the screen. There should at least be a way to turn it off for your profile.

Thanks Skit,
I have a problem with that one too but I have not said anything. If you notice I don't post messages much durring the time that this script is running. I don't have a problem with the other parts of the script just the objects floating in the way.

Hey Skit,
Can you make it so that we can shoot them with our mouse as we are reading? Make it a little game?

There's nothing falling on my screen. Perhaps it's a subtle ploy to get people to switch to Firefox?

The major advantage of Firefox is that it is not vulnerable to all the security holes, browser hijacks and so on that IE is. Internet Explorer and Outlook Express, which uses the IE HTML rendering engine, are the biggest cause of spreading viruses and other problems.
If people browse using Firefox, the VDS browser extension will still work, because IE is still installed on the machine. It would be nice to make a web browser extension that used Firefox, but it wouldn't be practical, due to the amount of code that would have to be installed on the machines of users who didn't already have it.
The main point of my comment, though, is that the script that does whatever some people are complaining about doesn't work in Firefox...

Julian: If everybody is using Firefox, the same kind of security holes, browser hijacks and so on will be found. Right now, most bad people use the errors in IE just because they know 90% of every visitor of a site uses that browser...
DragonSphere: does it work now?

Tommy and PK have both tried to make an alternative browser dll that
did not use MSIE, But they were never able to solve some issues with
the component we used. It was the same component that Tommy used
for the old VDSHTML.DLL, except what I had was the full purchased
version at that time, instead of the freeware version which was limited.

Internet Explorer is not as bad as people make it out to be. A very fast and easy fix to all these security problems with IE is to do this:
TOOLS> INTERNET OPTIONS > click on the SECURITY tab > click on INTERNET > click CUSTOM LEVEL button
Now DISABLE 'Binary and script behaviors'
That is all there is to it, 99% of the viruses and malware cannot be installed. However many of MS sites require such binary/scripting of active-x; so in the trusted list add *.msn.com; *.microsoft.com etc and those sites now show up great.
The reason Firefox does not have this problem is because it natively does not support any active-x without external plugins. Install those plugins and you will see viruses/malware being installed on your computer again.
Active-x is really the problem here not really the browser.
As to:

If everyone switches to Firefox then all of the VDS Browser DLL's based on Internet Explorer that have been bought and paid for will be of no use

This is not the case; as Jules points out you simply need Internet Explorer installed on your computer - it does not need to be the default browser. It's not really possible to uninstall Internet Explorer from the machine without using some programs on the net; doing so really hampers the usefulness of Windows though. For instance many help files now use the Internet Explorer object - HTML HELP which is the newest standard for winhelp.
