would it be possible to have the following features in vds6?
- the ability to display pie charts with more than just 2 items as we have now? for example, 20% in blue, 40% in green, 10% in yellow and 30% in cyan
- the ability to have bar charts? (i know that i can use mac's dll for this but something native would be good and easier to use up front)?

If more sophisticated charting elements were to be included with VDS, they would be implemented as an extension. But there are no plans to include such elements at this time. _________________ The Tech Pro

Serge,
You can actually use native text elements (with a colored
background style) for bars in bar charts.
Just use DIALOG SETPOS to size the text element as desired.
I haven't tried it, but ya might also be able to "stack" pie charts
with VDSug.dll to show more colors in a single chart. Or just use
the drawing functions and draw/modify one, then "flood" each
section with the desired color.
Just a thought.
[EDIT] Posted a simple bar chart example using text elements:

Cheers, Mac _________________ VDSug.dll does file IO, check/disable menu items,
non-VDS dlls, draw functions and more...
Free download (30k dll size) at:

thanks mac, will check out the post you made elsewhere
for the pie chart, there probably are ways to do it but i just thought that it would be nice to have one that works as easily as the pie element we currently have
thanks for your reply
