Hi all, please tell me which one of the PGWARE dll's you would like updated first.
I have already updated these dll's to work with vds 5: vdsobj02.dll, vdsipp.dll, vdsback.dll.
Please check here and tell me which EXTENSIONS you would like updated first to work with vds 5. I'm asking as it's very time consuming to update every single dll so I want to go ahead and do the ones that people actually use first. |

vdsconv and vdswinver are now updated. As always theres information in the readme files on how to donate if you so choose Nathan
Also GT I'd love to update ALL.OF.THEM but that's going to take quite some time. Most of these dll's were written in Delphi 3 and I no longer use Delphi 3, only Delphi 6 and 7. Thus I need to rewrite some dll's which used components and this isn't a matter of 5 minutes. It will take some time and as of now I'm only going to update the ones people really use. Eventually they will all be updated but expect that to be within a few weeks - months. |

Here's a list of the DLLs I'd like to see updated in order of importance:
The ones I will use very soon:
vdsmem.dll
vdsico.dll
vdsstice.dll
The ones I don't have a use for right now but will most likely in the future:
vdsmix.dll
vdsvol.dll
vdssave.dll
vdsonline.dll _________________ FreezingFire

My votes would be:
vdsmix.dll
vdsmem.dll
vdsdnsl.dll
vdsonline.dll
These are the dll's that I am currently using that you haven't updated yet. Once again, thank you for all the hard work you put into these great extensions! _________________ "ah, come take my hand... we're ridin' out tonight to face the promised land"

These are now updated:
vdsstice.dll
vdsdnsl.dll
vdssave.dll
vdsonline.dll
vdsmix.dll
vdsvol.dll
vdsico I may not be able to update, the component required is a .dcu which means the source isn't included and it definately isn't working with Delphi 6. vdsmem I'll take a look into, I know this dll has some bugs in it and doesn't work all too correctly on WinXP; I was notified of this by X-Tools/Fabian a few weeks ago. |

Thanks for that Prakash!
That's okay about VDSICO... I actually wasn't using it in a project but was
thinking of using it... there's always a workaround because I can just
create a VDS 4 executable to do the raw work and pass it the parameters
needed from my VDS 5 EXE. _________________ FreezingFire

All dll's updated except for 2. The new dll's include examples for vds 2 - 5. I have also donated the vdshttpd and vdshttpx to the vdsworld community as freeware now.
The two dlls which currently are not vds 5 compatible are: vdsconsole.dll and vdsico.dll. The problem is these dll's use components without source code, since I'm now using Delphi 6/7 and do not have the source code for these components which worked for Delphi 3 I can't compile these dll's. I'll either have to look for updated components or find alternatives. I can't promise if these will be fixed or not but I'll try to. |
