Is 310kb too big of a overhead for a setup program? This is in it's compiled
form without any files for a program setup. I know it's not the smallest of
setup overheads, but this isn't too bad is it?

To me, 310k is pretty big on top of the size of the program I'm distributing.
When I do use an installer, I use NIS, which adds about 40k..

Yeah, I saw another one that only adds about 50 to 60k also.
