Anyone ever had the @filedlg() dialog not appear when the function is called? If one of my users is to be believed, this appears to be happening on his machine, because there is no way for the function not to be called if he clicks the button he says he's clicking. _________________ The Tech Pro

Might be one of those weird ones that will forever remain a mystery.
Like the problem that was reported where VDSPOPUP wouldn't load under XP SP2 beta. After I installed SP2, I never had any problem with VDSPOPUP.
Or one where a user couldn't run my Search utility. I got him to make a copy of notepad.exe and rename it search.exe. That wouldn't run either. Never did get to the bottom of that. _________________ The Tech Pro

Hi Jules,
Actually, I have seen this happen before. (Only on a few occasions though, and with older versions of VDS.) FYI: Problems disappeared upon uninstallation of some shareware. (Probably a program conflict or something. ) You may want to ask your user if she/he has recently installed some software.)
Cheers,
- Boo |

Jullian, since my time of using VDS, I have never seen nor heard of this
issue. Also, during my time of working support for VDS, I have not seen
an issue like this brought up.
I'm inclined to believe that this is a system specific problem. The user
may have made some changes to their system that have caused this.
Such things as using 98Lite, or some other system level modification.
I could be wrong, but I just bet a box of cookies and a glass of milk that
this is the cause of this problem.

Hi Jules,
I have heard about such a problem on a non-vds app.
It's AviPreview.
Look at this page:
http://www.avipreview.com/avipreview_by_aj/support.htm
I have this problem with one of my Win2000 Installations. On another win2000 (also german version) it works fine.
