|
|
I bought a license from Comerrcial Research for VDSZIP50.DLL, but am having problems installing it!? I have followed the instructions and I get the following messages when I test:-
"You must purchase a license for this extension in order to use it in compiled programs"
"Test failed! Either the extension DLL is not on the search path or the license code is wrong.!
And then when I try and run a compiled application using VDSZIP50.DLL I get the following message again:-
"You must purchase a license for this extension in order to use it in compiled programs"
What am I doing wrong?
VDSZIP50.DLL is in my system32 folder, which is in my PATH
Should the dashs in the licence number be entered? I cut and pasted it from the licence letter and tried numerous variations, but all failed...
Thanks in advance for any assistence _________________ Andrew GRAY

As a registered user you should use the registered users area on dialogscript.com to obtain support for this issue.
It appears that registrations for VDS products are dealt with manually (hence why you don't receive an instant reply) so it's possible somebody could have made a mistake when generating the code you were sent.
The complete code (as received, including dashes) should be entered. _________________ The Tech Pro

I've posted the same message there, and raised a ticket... _________________ Andrew GRAY

Your lucky. As of yesterday I tried to register it and their payment processor was unavaialble to process the payment. I will try again.
At least you were lucky enough to actually be able to register it.
Funny though because I havent seen a single message saying I had to register it and I have already compiled something to test it. Not sure why but no messages. Good luck.

Don't know which one they use now, but mine has just been the victim of a massive Denial of Service attack, and they have had to take the servers down on occasions. _________________ The Tech Pro

Now got a working licence key from Commercial Research, so I'll be playing with the DLL over the next few days... _________________ Andrew GRAY

I too had a problem at first but after leaving a ticket they fixed it quick. I am definitely in the market for VDS6 since they are getting better at support. Thanks guys and kudos. _________________ K Wetzel

They fixed me up after I used the online web ticket system at dialogscript.com. You should try that route. They responded in 1 day after I put in the ticket on their site. Good luck. _________________ K Wetzel

I checked and we did order via the dialogscript.com site. I just called the transaction processor and had them send us a refund. Do you think I should try ordering again via dialogscript.com?

I would look at ordering again through the site. THEN once you have reordered it login to the licensed area of the site and you can request the key through dialog script. They may just be behind in generating the licenses but it normally doesnt take this long. As soon as I opened a ticket they fixed me within 24 hours of me opening the ticket in the registered users support area on dialogscript.com. _________________ K Wetzel
