Sorry to ask such a stupid question but I see lots of hyperlinks in the VDS Help file that says 'See a more advanced example' only that clicking on these do nothing. Well, for me, it does nothing.

What should these links do? Should they open a pop-up window? Should they open something in my web browser? Should they open something in the VDS Editor? If I had some clue, I might be to able to track down why it doesn't work (my browser being told not to display pop-ups for example). Or maybe this just doesn't work....

Any ideas?

Thanks

They should open one of the corresponding files contained in your Visual Dialogscript\demos directory. Maybe it doesn't work because you installed VDS in a non-default folder?

Thanks Skit3000. It doesn't do that and VDS is installed in the default install folder (but at least I now know what it is supposed to do).

Thanks filip for you little demo - there are some clever tricks in there.

Steeld,
I have the same issue with the VDS help file. It does not matter where or how I install VDS it just will not open the script in the VDS IDE.

I had the same problem and found if you close the IDE and then click the link, it loads the script with VDS IDE and most of the links work this way for me, and mine is in a non-default folder by the way.
Hope this helps somehow Cool

Hmmm Interesting Vtol,
Accept for me when I close the IDE the VDS help file closes also which then I loose my place. I just tried to launch the help file from the Startmenu with out opening the IDE and I clicked on one of the links to see a more advanced example... and I get a message box saying "Unable to start "demos\apiex\ftpclient\ftpex.dsp"." I think this is due to the fact that a compiled help file in chm format creates a temp folder structure to extract it's HTML files too of which the demos folder is not a part of so windows cannot find these relative link locations.
