I was just wondering if anyone has tried connecting to the "Active Directory Provider" using VDSDB.DLL from TomSoft.
I have seen several places on the internet that state that you can query AD through ODBC, however, I fail to find any documentation on how to set this up.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Aslan,
Actually Acitve Directory uses a modified LDAP interface. I am currently working on a demo using GadgetX to do this. Technically speaking you can translate directly all those fancy VBScript and Scripting Host codes at Microsoft's Scripting Web Site into GadgetX/VDS code. To get you started look at the code in many of the WMI scripts I have posted at my website then go from there.

I have to install ADAM and/or OpenLDAP to work on these. There is also Win32 API's for LDAP as well. _________________ Home of
