Of course there are many more different Windows languages. I expect the words
will be different with each other language. |

Well, I also run localized Windows versions (Danish) but under both Win98 and WinXP
VDS returns "Removable" for my A drive - so no local language strings there!

That's quite a strange problem.
All the info like Network and Removable has been translated into Dutch
'Verwisselbaar' means 'Removable' and so on....
Is suppose this is a bug in Windows or there's something wrong with VDS (because there isn't a Dutch version of it available) _________________ phpBB Development Team |

Sorry to have you bothered about this problem, Vic made me realize how this is caused.
I'm using a Dutch version of VDS 4, so of course that's why!
I'm sure S.A.D.E. will be able to fix this by not translating these specific words... Currently
it'll probably also happen for users of the French version of VDS 4. |

The translated words aren't a VDS problem... Even if you use something like a Install Wizard the Yes, No and Cancel button will be translated into Ja, Nee and Annuleren. It's just a Windows bug.
Btw. can you run VDS on a Chinese (or something) Windows??? If so, do they use the ASCII-Charmap??? Otherwise you can't make VDS-progs that uses @volinfo() commands... |
