I would like to see an Integrated EXE option like VDS 2 had...I think it is much more convienient to distribute one exe file and not have to deal with a runtime DLL...but make it an option so that you don't always have to distribute it as an Integrated... _________________ FreezingFire

Hi FreezingFire,
There is always Alloy from PGWARE. It can integrate the runtime with your EXE's. _________________ Home of

| Built in support would be nice though... even if it didn't have all the advanced options that Alloy has. |

There are some cases where it would be good to have the run-time built into the EXE, not extracted from it.
Along with including the runtime into the EXE, it might be nice to be able to integrate the resource files into the EXE. _________________ FreezingFire

I believe that there is a way to integrate resources into your exe's, unless it only worked in 2.5, but I think it worked in 3.x and it may work in 4.x.
What you do is you run vdsrc with your exec as the first resource.
Then the first line of code should be file copy, myexe.exe, myexe.dsr and after the dialog loads delete myexe.dsr...
Should work, try it out!
As for integration, can't help you too much there. I use PowerArchiver (the old free version) and the vdsicon switch dll.
