Hello,
I had nothing to do, surfed a bit over the internet, and saw what VDS missed... A status bar for multiply elements, like IE has... So I tried to make that by using group elements and stuff, but it wouldn't work. Maybe an idea to put in a new version of VDS??? |

My status bar trick is (possibly) half the battle...

The other half is using resize events to position an element to create sections, I believe this can be done, but not in design mode.

Tommy's VDSLISTS.DLL can put glyph lists, column lists, and multiple-panel status bars with or without glyphs onto the VDS Dialog. Just like IE. You can even change the width of the panel, and specify lots of other options such as a "raised" or "flat" or "lowered" panel.
Click [here] to get it. I reccommend it...it makes your dialog look very nice and professional, plus it's only a mere $10. 8O _________________ FreezingFire

Here's a status bar you might want to try out...
Requires vdswnd.dll and vdselm.dll
if you want to...
you need to take screen shot gif's of the small my computer icon on the explorer status bar and of the resize indicator on the bottom right of explorer status bar.
Call my computer mc.gif and the resize indicator stat.gif
else if you don't
Eleminate the <img> tags from status.html
end
| Code: |
external vdswnd.dll
gosub vdselm
DIALOG CREATE,New Dialog,-1,0,500,160,class dialog,resizable
element add,browser,browser1,dialog,137,-4,509,40,c:\windows\desktop\status.html
DIALOG SHOW
element disable,browser1
%%window = @window(#dialog,Child)
wnd shape,%%window,rect,2,2,496,35
:Evloop
wait event
goto @event()
:vdselm
external vdselm.dll,
exit
:close
element remove,browser1
exit
:resize
parse "%%t;%%l;%%w;%%h",@winpos(#dialog,TLWH)
element setpos,browser1,@diff(%%h,49),,@sum(%%w,17)
wnd shape,%%window,rect,2,2,@diff(%%w,4),35
goto evloop
