Am curious if different systems treat decimal WAIT time
differently. Mine doesn't show much difference past ".01".
Here's a test program that checks the WAIT @datetime()
difference from ".1" to ".00001" - it uses only the decimal
part of @datetime() as a whole number to avoid math errors.
It runs the test 5 times (to allow for variance) and uses an
edit box for display so ya can copy/paste the results. Mine
are at the bottom. I show no difference if it's compiled or not.
Also - I'd run it more than once...

I got an old Fujitsu Lifebook 256MHz with 96MB RAM and a Dell Dimension P4 1.4GHz, 384MB. How can I check my systems?

Thanks for the input guys.
Using WAIT past ".01" does seem to be wasted effort.
But that ain't all.... 
Apparently WAIT isn't precise even up to that point - there
only seems to be a change in actual wait time at approx 5/100
second intervals or so.
Here's a modified version of the first test - it checks WAIT
time at 1/100 second intervals from ".01" to "1.00" seconds.
This takes several seconds to complete, but it has a stop button
so ya can quit any time. My results are at the bottom again.

Kinda seems like the WAIT command is based the same way the old DOS programs were
Ever tried running a DOS game from the mid 80's on a P4? That is a fast game. I tried a tetris game. Couldn't keep up. I got eaten before I got the chance to move the little gobbler *lol*
