Please note, this is NOT the final release version. I have added several more
creation styles for the TreeView control and implemented a few more
commands and functions.

I'm still working on the compiled help file. There is a complete, I think Wink,
list of commands and functions in the SSTreeVw.doc that's included in the
archive. Please read it carefully.

There has been one command change. Please view the SSTreeVw.doc for
further details.

Hi,

very, very cool again Wink Good work.

I found a little bug:

CLICK,RCLICK and DBLCLICK styles do not cause
TREEVIEWNAME*CLICK events, but only
events called CLICK RCLICK and DBLCLICK.

And what is the style trackselect ?

Bye, Fabian

I don't understand about the events not returning as "TreeView Name"CLICK
or whatever. It works flawlessly on my machine. Anyone else have this
problem?

As far as the trackSelect style, I hate to sound rude, but I spent a week
making the help file for this extension, with answers to every question that
you might have about the use of the TreeView control. Please read the help
file. The answer to your question X-Tools is in the TreeView Styles page in
the help file.

Hey Fabian,

Would you mind posting the bit of code that you're using to create the
TreeView control or send me an email with it so I can see if I can spot the
problem?

And the "trackSelect" style appears similar to a hyperlink. The cursor
changes to the "HAND" style and the item is highlighted and underlined
like a hyperlink is on a web page. Smile

Click events are working here as they should.

Yes, this is one of my old logo's made for VDS 5. Originally intended for the splash screen and web site, but I opted not to go with this logo because it was too complex to reproduce for other things. So it was removed from the line up of possible logo's for VDS 5. I have other failed logo's here for VDS 5 too. Smile

Hi Bill,

I am trying your INI example. The Line for creating the treeview:

Code:
treeview create,TV1,0,0,400,300,hasButtons|haslines|linesAtRoot|checkboxes|editlabels|trackselect,RCLICK,DBLCLICK

After the events crashed I debugged the loop:

Code:
:Evloop
  wait event
  %E = @event()
  info event: #%E#
  goto %E

And the Events are #RCLICK# and #DBLCLICK#

Bye, Fabian[/code]

Hi Fabian,

I'm afraid I don't have an answer for your problem. Have you downloaded
the latest version? You are the only person to report this bug and I can't make
it happen on my machine either, so I'm kind of at a loss. I wish I had an
answer for ya. Confused

Hi again,

I found it.

If i delete the statusbar in your ini example the events are working fine Very Happy

Another question. I tried to add a second treeview element (TV2) and changed the functions to this but the treeelements are still placed on the first treeview element.

Bye, Fabian

Is there a way to add / read tooltips for elements in the tree ?
(I am wondering about the noToolTips-Style)

Hi Fabian and everyone else,

I'm addressing the multiple-treeviews on a form. I never even bothered to
see if multiple treeviews could be put on the same form. Sorry. Embarassed

As to your tooltips question Fabian, tooltips are enable by default. They
only appear when the text of the selected item is longer than the display
area of the treeview control. The "noToolTips" style turns tooltips off for
the treeview control.
